Reviewer: Dimaension X - 4 out of 5 stars - December 8, 2007 Subject: Great Berlin-School with updates!! When I hit "play" I thought I was listening to a re-mix of the original "Coldwater Canyon" from 30 years later, ... excellent tribute to the old Berlin-School sound, but with more guitar, ... and we all wished Edgar would play more guitar on the old albums. This make me want to dig out the good VSTi simulations of the old Moog synths and try it myself, but I'm sure I couldn't do it this well. I think we all wish TD had continued in this vein instead of the "new agey" crap they started spitting out in the 1990's. FD Project has a new fan in me, and hopefully many more will follow.

Reviewer: aszure - - May 13, 2006 Subject: Nice journey So lets see, its a Saturday night, and the girl friend and her daughter are off in the other room leaving me to space out. I find the FD project, and grab the album, and load it the media player... and kick back.... Very Tangerine Dream like, just like the author says. However, there's a bit more electric guitar, giving it a bit more of a Pink Floydish vibe, well lacking vocals that is. Its not just an ambient piece of fluff. This music has a rhythm and a groove that kind of puts your mind into a movie, and the music paints the soundtrack. Good stuff... Jim http://www.hiwayradio.com

F.D. Project released Mare Tranquilitatis, a double CD album, two hours of new age/chill out music on Pharmacom-rec netlabel. Mare Tranquilitatis seems to be a compilation of all that have been released until now by the band. I'm not sure if it's a solo project as all the info I found is in german. The whole stuff sound vintage which is not necessarily a bad thing. The electronic background and rhythms are accompanied by short distorted guitar solos giving it a more human feel. Anyway Mare Tranquilitatis is quite agreeable to listen too. To download if you like this kind of music.

F.D. Project's "Mare Tranquillitatis" is cat.no. 018 of Pharmacom Records, a 2CD which leaves me a bit puzzled and insecure as I still don't know what to make of it even after listening to it more than once. Stylewise it's Ambient which big time tributes to the likes of Tangerine Dream or Jean Michel Jarre and this is exactly the point when things start to get tricky as both mentioned artists have released excellent tracks... and loads of kitsch. Frank Dorittke's F.D. Project is stuck in between, too.
