Biographie:
The BinauralBeatsProjec't consisting of Binaural aka Chris Blake und
Chill aka Wolfgang Raspe was founded in the early 1990s. First steps and
initial recordings were made at Chill's home, only with the legendary
Roland TB303, the TR606, a mixer, some synths and lots of synchronization
problems. To have an idea what sound that was like, take a look at Säurebad
Recordings No. 19. To get rid of synchronization problems and to add some
additional sounds to the recordings the project move to Binaural's home.
Efforts of that can be heard on the album 'Biomechanoid Landscape'here
on Super Six Records, filled with some new tries in other musical directions.
A few years later they got the oppurtunity to share a semi-proffesional
studio in the city of Bonn with a reggae group called 'Touff souls'. Influenced
by the uplighting events called Psycho Thrill in the club Ballhaus in
Bonn the style soon led to Detroit/Chicago and ACID sounds. The studio
of the Touff Souls made it possible to enanced the sound and with connections
to the scence they were able to release an double 12" vinyl on Psycho
Thrill Records which was completely sold out. Some years later they moved
once again to Chill's Flat with some new and shiny equipment. That was
the bargain to try some other styles like Ambient, downtempo and Chill-Out.
And that's were they stayed, so far..
